Welcome to the Memorial Elementary School’s website. Home to our littlest Panthers, PK-1st grade. It is an honor to be your child’s principal as they start their educational journey. Please know that each day your child will be welcomed and supported socially, emotionally and academically. Cultivating an environment that is positive, safe and filled with dynamic learning experiences is our goal.

The Memorial Elementary School community strives to be an equitable and inclusive place for all students to learn and grow together while building character and global citizenship, guided by our talented and committed staff.

Memorial School’s amazing educators join together everyday to guide our early learners to explore, learn and grow. Building the academic foundation of our youngest students to love school. We provide a safe and positive place for hands-on learning and discovery while continuing a tradition of excellence in the Pitman School District and beyond.

As an educational leader I’m committed to:

Lead as an educator first. It's important not to forget, we are educators first. There are so many responsibilities in a day as a principal, keeping my focus on our student successes and needs should always be the focus. I often say to my staff that I use “my teacher's heart” to guide my leadership.

Stay community oriented. leadership allows relationships to be built. Believing in my staff, students, their families and their community strengthens and builds the “school community.” Relationships are the foundation of a positive environment. It has been my experience that genuine relationships ensure respect and empathy.

Cultivating a clear and defined vision for where we want our school to go and keeping that vision in the forefront with our team daily. Achieving this will encourage everyone to be more motivated, and more effective keeping their responsibilities connected with our strategic goals and vision of the district.

You are your child’s first teacher! Together we can foster a love for learning that will continue for a lifetime. My door is always open for conversation and discussion to benefit all. I look forward to working with you to ensure a successful new school year.
